Pedal Power at 2degrees
As part of 2degrees' ongoing commitment to sustainability and employee wellbeing, the team introduced the Workride program in January 2025 to help staff access healthier, more active ways of getting to work. Since then, the uptake has been fantastic, with employees right across the business signing up and sharing how it’s made a real difference to their daily lives.
Take Jack, one of 2degrees’ Engineers. Before joining Workride, his daily commute from Glen Eden to Fanshawe Street meant a long, drawn-out journey—driving to the train station, catching the train, and clocking up close to an hour each way. Now, thanks to his new e-bike, that same 20km trip takes just 45 minutes. It’s faster, smoother, and—most importantly—way more enjoyable.
Jack describes the shift as life-changing. He’s traded traffic jams and packed trains for fresh air, quiet roads, and a solid workout before he hits the desk. He’s already noticing the physical benefits too: improved fitness, a steadier heart rate, and a healthier routine (with just the occasional sore legs). What’s more, 2degrees’ excellent end-of-trip facilities—including chargers and showers—have made the switch even easier.
And it’s not just Jack who’s noticed the benefits. We caught up with Ryan Ghisi, Head of People Operations at 2degrees, to hear how the program has landed across the wider team, and what surprised them most about using Workride.
“From our first meeting right through to seeking support after implementation, the Workride team have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. They are passionate, knowledgeable, flexible and super responsive.”

Workride asked Ryan what was the biggest surprise to their team through using our service?
“It’s rare that you find a platform and process that are so simple and user friendly. Our HR team love that it’s so easy to administer and our employees love how quickly they’re able to collect their bike after choosing it in store.”
With staff wellbeing up, admin time down, and more bikes on the road, 2degrees is proving just how powerful a simple shift in commuting can be. Ready to make the difference for your team? Contact Workride today!
