We caught up with Stu from Get Lost Cycling to hear his thoughts on the program and all things cycling…
What has your experience been like with Workride so far?
“My experience with Workride has been excellent so far. The platform has made it incredibly easy for customers to purchase quality bikes they might not have been able to afford outright. The system is intuitive, and the process is clear for both customers and myself. We've seen a positive response from customers, which in turn has helped drive more sales. Overall, it's been a smooth and beneficial addition to our store, making bikes more accessible to a wider range of people."

What do you think makes Workride a great option for people considering a bike?
“From my point of view, Workride is a great option because it helps make bikes more accessible to customers who might not have the full amount upfront. The financing option allows people to break down the cost of a bike into manageable payments, which makes it much easier for them to make the purchase. The process is straightforward and clear, which helps both my team and customers. It’s a simple and effective way to get more people on bikes, ultimately benefiting my business, our customers & the local cycling community.”
If you could have any bike right now, what would it be and why?
“I already have a really nice mountain bike, but my bikepacking setup right now could use a bit of work - so I would go for a top of the line bikepacking rig, decked out with the best camping gear available. The bikepacking I’ve done so far has opened up a whole new world of adventure for me. I love the idea of riding all day on incredible backcountry roads and singletrack, with everything I need to camp comfortably along the way. Having the right gear makes all the difference!”
What are you currently riding, and where’s your favourite place to ride?
“My time spent riding is split between my Santa Cruz Heckler SL (E-MTB), my Tern Quickhaul (Cargo bike /E-commuter), 1989 Specialized Stumpjumper (Cruiser) & my heavily modified Surly Midnight Special (Gravel/Touring). My favorite MTB tracks are in Wainuiomata in the native forest, and my favorite bikepacking routes are throughout Central Otago. “
